Who the hell are you, and what do you know about any of this?

I am used to your scepticism.

But a decent international piano player trying to navigate next steps out of music at 31 has a lot in common with pro athletes at the same age and stage.

All I thought I knew and could do was practice and tuxedo at 8pm.

My business bio is here: https://www.neuhoffcapital.com/about-us-lumx

Before all that, I enjoyed the privilege of performing classical music all over the world, and am most proud of recitals in London (St-Martin-in-the-Fields), Salzburg (Mozarteum), the International Chamber Ensemble of Rome, and Caracas, Venezuela in the 90's and 2000's. It was great while it lasted, and my career hit a wall when I went from "exciting up and comer" to "competent middle-aged man".

My wife, a violinist who transitioned to finance, basically designed this process for us, and it worked. Since that time, we have shared this process with a number of artists and atheletes trying to figure out what to do next when the last show or game has ended and your agent stops returning your calls.

If that's you, or about to be you, I recommend you use this recipe and I am available to help you along the way if you want to talk to somebody who knows what it feels like.

Everyone thought I could anything because I'd succeeded at such a challenging pursuit, but at the same time, I felt like I couldn't do anything else and had failed at the one thing I knew how to do.

If you relate to any of this, I'm available to help point you in the right direction.

I want to talk to someone about my transition plans
